THE DEPOT LAUNCHES SUNDAY JAZZ SUPPER CLUB
AS WATER MUSIC FUND RAISER Sunday, April 2nd

Depot Restaurant chef and owner Michael Lalewicz misses regular live jazz. As developer of the kitchen for Portland's premier jazz club Jimmy Mak's in the Pearl District, he had the opportunity to work with and meet great northwest and nationally renowned jazz artists. "Food and jazz go great together.  We want to add a reason to relax and have fun in our community on Sunday nights too" declares Lalewicz.

The Long Beach Peninsula is lucky to have original "Fat Albert & the Cosby Kids" soundtrack drummer Jon Belcher as one of its residents. Jon too is missing a regular jazz venue. He has created "SoundScapes", a duo that performs sensuous Brazillian jazz guitar melodies with exotic Afro Caribbean rhythms. A recent transplant to the Long Beach Peninsula, Jon is a native of New York and a veteran of the Los Angeles recording studios.

Lalewicz and Belcher have gotten together to launch "Sunday Jazz Supper Club" at The Depot Restaurant starting Sundays, April 2nd and April 9th.  SoundScapes will introduce their sound to the peninsula 5:30 - 8:30 PM. Rob Rigoni, Budapest West, who has played Fridays at The Depot will now play some Sundays as well.

The Depot strongly supports Jazz & Oysters and the Water Music Festival.  Thus as the new concept of Sunday Jazz is launched, The Depot will donate a portion of every diners meal to the Water Music Festival on Sundays April 2 and April 9th. Jazz Supper Club will be every Sunday except holidays.
